The college’s Development Office wanted to encourage new alumni to contribute to The Holy Cross Fund. Statistics indicate that alumni who make donations during the early stages of their careers are more likely to continue giving. However, new graduates often feel they don’t have much to contribute, so they don’t donate at all.
Our straightforward design solution utilized simple math to illustrate “the power of 1.” If each alumnus donated one dollar, and that dollar was multiplied by the number of alumni, the total would be staggering. “Holy moly!” seemed to be a suitable tag line, wouldn’t you say?
